(delayed) view from my window

It finally snowed in Tokyo...a day after I left for Thailand. Luckily Ears snapped a pic from my balcony for evidence.

That Jack Johnson may really have been on to something there.

One of my favourite street picks in Thailand surprisingly turned out to be...banana pancakes.

I had actually laughed at the idea of trying them out before going over when a friend had recommended it. I thought, they are banana pancakes...big deal. Whats so special about that?! hmpf.

Everything. Everything about them is special.
The way they are made, what they are made of, the cheap price, the small window of opportunity they are available in, the sweet condensed milk they are drizzled with...
The tooth pick that you are given to eat it with and the lovely feeling of having breakfast food...at night! sigh. Jack Johnson can make me these banana pancakes any day. :)

Got this in Sukhothai on my walk back to the guesthouse, sweaty and dusty from a day of cycling around in much need of a shower but just couldn't wait!...and just as well because when we came back around an hour or so later the lady had...closed shop!

some expert tossing skillz

on go the bananas

and some greasy goodness frying

cut into bite size pieces

set out on the take away tray before being drizzled with topping of choice
(sweet condensed milk)

tada!
yummy yummy yummy...I got love in my tummy!

I have a train to catch...

Train stations provide great material to work with when it comes to peculiar, or interesting or hilarious signs...or all of the above!

I knew there was some advantage of being...short.

RESPECT!

And my absolute favourite...

A: So, where are you going?
B: To bang Sue

hehe, that Sue must be one...busy girl.

Putting Fiji on the...A/C?

Just another random side street in Bangkok...or is it? Zoom into the airconditioner and we have...

yep, that's right...it says Fiji! How or why...I don't know, but must we question everything in life? Lets just enjoy this moment for its sublime beauty yeah? That's what I did.
Especially after being asked for the umpteenth time:

So, where in Africa is Fiji?

Do you speak French in your country?

and the classic, oh right, so you are from Fuji, Japan.

Dress your arse with Ass Fashions...

ok yeah, so there may be a J before the A S S. But in my defense...you cant really see it can you? Yeah, neither could I!
