So I am going home next month. And thats the only thing that I can think of these days. :)
That's what happens when you stay away from home for 18months. Its been too bloody long.
And as much as I am looking forward to seeing all my friends, my parents, the family dogs, places, people etc, one thing that I am also really really looking forward to is the...food. :)
Perhaps I will do a food diary while I am back home to make sure I have devoured every morsel of what I am currently salivatingly craving for.
Here's a quick list off the top of the stomach of me head:
-Roast pork with crackling from Peking
-half roast pork/half roast chicken with rice from Hanging Duck aka Yangs
-Chowmein anything from Joji's
-chicken pie and cream buns from Hot Bread Kitchen
-samosas and fried potato thingos from Singhs Curry House
-Fish and chips from Terry Walk
-Fish and chips from Dans
-Whatever's nice and new on the menu at Baristas
-Hot dogs from outside Traps/ myo hot dogs from the Total service station in Lami
-BBQ from the stalls outside Maccers
-chicken and chips with extra gravy from er... Lantern Palace (I think thats what the little restaurant in Lami is called)
-Vasua in lemon juice with cassava
-palusami
-dalo, dalo, dalo, dalo... and dalo.
-lovo food
-and ofcourse, everything and almost anything (except tomatoes, okra and eggplants) cooked by my dearest mummy.
sigh, i can't wait.
oh yeah, and from the liquids section:
-Fiji Bitter
-Sprite (ONLY place in Tokyo that sells it is Costco which I don't have membership for)
-Kava
-Yummy Fiji Tap Water (heehee)
hmmm...what else...

"We are the world" revamp.
This is powerful stuff.
The last one came out when I was just a year old and so I grew up listening to that and to the artists that collaborated on it...
and yet its still as moving to see the remake, with people who have had more influence recently, teaming up with the pioneers from the last one (MJ's bits are video clips...r.i.p).
Heart out to Haiti, and the rest of the world in peril.

Back and forth
As in back from India (more on that later)
and going forth with the lovely pile of assignments I have waiting for me, all due one after another. Joy.
So its the new year too...for the entire globe and for me age wise as well. yay...26!...almost slept through the entire day after spending the previous 24hours either on a delayed flight on the runway or in an airport. Getting to sleep peacefully on your birthday is *bliss* :)
And then ofcourse my pressie arrived by the evening flight, and I almost lost her after failing to tell Rette NOT to leave the station >_< so thanking the universe for Rette's Japanese language classes in high school, Internet cafes and email receiving fones.
also, thankful for stumbling upon ones favourite things wrapped up into one. *bliss*
Jason Mraz+I'm Yours+Sesame Street+Elmo= bliss
2010 is going to be *bliss* I just know it!
of course, the bliss would be much more blissful when the next two weeks or so of classes, presentations, exams and final essays and videos are over and done with!
and yes, this rather miscellaneous post was brought to you today by the word BLISS
and the numbers 2010
and...26.
