So I made it a point to take the ac/heater remote downstairs to the TV room and get one of my kanji-knowing friends to translate.
Kanji-knowing friend: "So the system is set to COLD mode right now."
...
my room no longer resembles the inside of my bar fridge.
yay! for the acquisition of much needed warmth.

how long did that take u to figure out? =0p Couldn't it have been obvious on the first day when nothing but cold air was coming out of it? =0) Do you really need to know kanji-ninja-itsu-mito lanuage to figure that out? =0p

yes...to switch from the cold air to hot air (something you should be familliar with)
